Internet explorer was the web browser which ruled the internet world for decades. After that some interactive browsers took over this ranking from Internet explorer and its user share declined up to 3.91% to 16.84%, which was 95% earlier. Microsoft brought Edge i.e., successor of Internet explorer, that was pretty good as compare to Internet explorer. In fact, it was brought to take over Internet explorer and increase the user share

Now, Microsoft decides to bring Microsoft Edge for Android and iOS and announce this today in a blog post. Selected iPhone users can download it starting today but Android user need to wait for it.

Microsoft Edge for iOS and Android brings familiar features like your Favorites, Reading List, New Tab Page and Reading View across your PC and phone, so, no matter the device, your browsing goes with you. But what makes Microsoft Edge really stand out is the ability to continue on your PC, which enables you to immediately open the page you’re looking at right on your PC—or save it to work on later.

This is the first time Microsoft is bringing its browser for another platform, hence, it is taking steps smoothly and gently. Initially Microsoft Edge will be launched in US-English only, then, with the expansion of preview release it will be launched for other Countries/regions. Also, It will not be available for iPads and Android tabs but it will come in future for sure.

The mobile versions of Edge don’t use the EdgeHTML layout engine, but rather whatever is standard on the device. So, if you’re on Android, Edge will take advantage of Blink/Chromium, while iOS users use WebKit/WKWebView.

Microsoft Launcher released

Just like Microsoft Edge, Microsoft launched preview release of MIcrosoft launcher for Android. With Microsoft Launcher, your recent photos, documents and more can all Continue on PC as well.

And – just like on Windows 10 – with Microsoft Launcher you can put icons of your favorite people right on the home screen so they’re quickly and easily available.

Android allows customization of launcher which iPhone doesn’t. That is the reason Microsoft released launcher only for Android not for iPhone. The launcher displayes when you push the phone’s home button.
