Nokia’s health division has launched an unique of its kind device that known as Nokia Sleep. This is an advance sensor, also known as sleep sensor, that will monitor your sleeping and snoring patterns. Also, it will turn off lights and lower the temperature if you are sleeping.
The gadget was announced in CES by Nokia. Actually, the sleep sensor is build in to a mattress pad which is connected to wifi and slide down under your sleeping mattress. The sensor will be connected with Nokia Health Mate app, where sleeping and snoring patterns will be recorded and app will generate a sleep score.
The best part I got that the gadget also works with IFTTT app,so you can pair your device with other devices and devices will also be the part of smart home. If you are going to bed then Nokia sleep will tell IFTTT to switch off lights and lower the temperature or when you are waking up it can tell IFTTT to switch on lights.
Nokia sleep is going to ship this year with the price of $99.95.
It was the June 2016 when Nokia acquired Withings, an health gadget maker for $190m, resulting the sleep sensor this year. This is one of the great success in health care by Nokia, I feel.
Additionally, Nokia is going to release an update for Nokia Health mate app so that it can work with Alexa. Means, you can ask Alexa about sleep score or Sleep habits read by sleep sensor.
