Sync your smart home devices with one command

Google Assistant

Google is on the way to solve the painful activity of handling smart home devices. Since, every time you install a smart home device you need to handle it using a different app. Google has made a partial solution for it that will sync your available but not-synced device with Google Assistant.

Google has made list of 1000 devices including lights, switches, plugs, thermostats and many more that can be synced through Google Assistant.

How to sync the new device

Syncing a device is very easy using Google Assistant with only precondition that all the devices should be connected with the same wifi network.

Open your Google Home app, click menu and tap Home Control. In device tab click on Add, select the device to pair, follow the instruction to pair the device.

Now, you can give only one command to google assistant “sync my devices” to refresh all the smart home services.

You can also refresh some specific category too. For Example : you can give command “Sync my lights”, that will refresh the devices under category Light.

So, next time if you don’t see your new device into list, just give the command to Google Home and device will be synced.
