Twitter is working on Snapchat like video sharing tool

Twitter, a microblogging platform is reportedly working on a Snapchat like video sharing tool, Bloomberg reported.

According to people who has eye on the product, company is working on a demo of camera-centered product. But Twitter has not yet finalized the design and launch of the tool, also product has not disclosed by company. The goal of the new feature is to entice people to share video clips of what’s happening around them.

According to Bloomberg, The new product targets the relatively cumbersome process of sharing videos or photos on Twitter, whose social network lets people post real-time updates of up to 280 characters and follow others’ feeds. Now, users have to open the Twitter app, click the compose button, find the camera button, take the video or picture, then click on the tweet button. The goal of this product is to reduce the number of steps.

Social media is user engaging today and biggest medium to connect with each other. In this war of user engagement every social platform is trying to inherit best features from each other. This was started with Orkut, when this social media platform from Google was a leader, later Facebook acquired this position replacing Orkut.

After that Internet was flooded with social media platforms with new features and functionality. Every social media platform is having its own unique features but in order to capture more user base, they don’t hesitate to take features from other too. And, after Smartphones came into picture, user base multiplied several times.

In recent years, Snapchat user base has grown many times and As of May 2017, Snapchat has 166 million daily active users.
