Recently facebook owned messaging giant WhatsApp announced about its new feature of business verified accounts. WhatsApp was testing this feature with some companies and allotted them business verified number with Green tick badge.
If you see any number with green tick, that means the number is officially allotted as verified number. WhatsApp will also let you know when you start talking to a business via yellow messages inside a chat. There is no way to delete these messages from the chat.
News report from Factor Daily says that WhatsApp has started this feature in India with online movie/show ticket booking company BookMyShow. BookMyShow has started sending ticket booking confirmation via WhatsApp message. BookMyShow has confirmed with Factor Daily that they are not piloting but, they have integrated the feature for sending confirmation.
BookmyShow is not the only company which is referred as “WhatsApp for Business” but WhatsApp is in talk with Uber’s indian rival OLA, hotel room book service OYO and some airline services.
This might not surprise for users if OLA and Uber may send OTP and invoices via whatsApp or OYO may send hotel confirmation via WhatsApp.
